Stromanthe in German Stein with Quote

This stein holds a place in my heart! When I was graduating from college I studied abroad in Berlin, Germany and when it was time to fly back home I extended my stay even longer. My German speaking became nicely fluent (as it was also my minor in college), my palate for beer became very spoiled, and the close relationships I made were friendships of a lifetime. It was an incredible experience! This stein reminds me of those memories in Germany.

The quote on the side says: "Always drink with moderation and purpose," and the other says, "Never too little, and never too much!"

Stromanthe are known for their bright and complex patterns. They can be picky though... I would recommend watering with filtered water if you can, as they are known to be sensitive to tap! If not though, not the end of the world.
I repotted mine in a soil mix of regular potting soil, orchid bark and perlite. I keep them in bright indirect light, and they appreciate humidity. Water deeply, rotate every now and then, and mist occasionally (maybe even get a small humidifier to place next to it.)

No matter what you do, you may get some browning at the tips of the leaves. I’ve seen posts of these professionally cared for in prestigious greenhouse gardens, and they still had that slight browning at the tips. Just emotionally prepare yourself for if it happens and know you’re still doing a great job!
