Rose Painted Calathea in White Head Pot
The Rose-Painted Calathea (Calathea roseopicta) thrives indoors with bright, indirect light and high humidity, which can be achieved by misting or using a humidifier. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged by watering when the top inch or so of soil is dry, using distilled or filtered water to avoid brown leaf tips. This plant prefers temperatures between 65-75 degrees and needs well-draining soil.
Rose-painted calatheas are difficult to care for because they require a specific, stable, high-humidity environment that mimics their tropical native habitat, and they are sensitive to changes in water, light, and temperature. Common problems like crispy leaves, browning, and wilting often stem from low humidity, improper watering (both over and under), inconsistent watering, direct sunlight, and cold drafts.
The exterior diameter of the plant opening is 4.5 inches and there is a drilled hole in the bottom for proper drainage.
