I think the purple Tradescantia was a perfect plant for this as it continues to grow and spill over the sides of this unique handmade blue/green bird planter.

It enjoys being grown in bright, indirect sun but is very resilient and can manage in most light settings. It makes for a great trailer for hanging baskets and containers.
Tradescantia are easy to grow and require little care, maybe a light trimming now and then to keep them full and bushy!

The exterior diameter of the plant opening is 5 1/2 inches with added drainage in bottom, and this plant is mildly toxic to humans or pets if ingested.
